Introduction

Many of the most profound ideas in science are rooted in taking on new perspectives to think about physical systems that already have a well-established conventional representation. The big ideas do not emerge from changes in the physical system themselves (nor the methods used to observe and measure them), but rather newfound understandings that reveal hidden structures in how nature functions.
